I had the honor of hearing Dr. B. Leland Baker speak this morning, his topic was so fascinting I asked for permission to share his thoughts with you here.

Dr. B. Leland Baker is a conservative Professor at a private university and an Army veteran of 26 years. “Dr B” is the author of: “Tea Party Revival: The Conscience of a Conservative Reborn – The Tea Party Revolt Against Unconstrained Spending and Growth of the Federal Government.” Dr. B’s book is not for the faint-hearted!  It will infuriate socialists, progressives, and RINOs, while earning accolades from fiscal conservatives, who advocate the U.S. Constitution as a contract between the governed and governing. Dr B has been a National Speaker and was featured at the Tea Party National Convention as well as numerous Tea Party and 912 events across the United States.

It’s a longer post, but well worth your time. Enjoy!

TEA Partiers are fiscal conservatives; as such we believe in lower taxes, and spending per enumerated powers in the US Constitution!

OBAMA: “We are poised for progress. Two years after the worst recession most of us have ever known, the stock market has come roaring back. Corporate profits are up. The economy is growing again. But we have never measured progress by these yardsticks alone. We measure progress by the success of our people. By the jobs they can find and the quality of life those jobs offer.”

REBUTTAL:  Not only did Obama’s plan fail to deliver, but within three months the national jobless rate spiked to 9.4 percent. And sadly, it hasn’t been lower for 20 straight months. While the government grew, we lost more than 2 million jobs. Recorded at 9% for this month, with a low of 6.9% among Asians and a high of 15.7% among Blacks (BLS).

OBAMA: “Thanks to the tax cuts we passed, Americans’ paychecks are a little bigger today.”

REBUTTAL:  Not really! Turbo Tax would show a decrease of about $340 for a person with an income of $100,000 per year. But as fiscal conservatives, we need to recapture the lexicon! Deficit spending is merely future taxation, which has increased $13,333 per man woman and child under Obama. And it is about to increase an additional $5000 per person.

OBAMA: “We have more work to do. The steps we’ve taken over the last two years may have broken the back of this recession – but to win the future, we’ll need to take on challenges that have been decades in the making.”

REBUTTAL:  High levels of government spending in response to the global economic turmoil have not resulted in higher economic growth. In light of the economic crisis, many advanced economies’ governments have stepped up their direct interference in the economy with government spending. Though volumes of evidence have highlighted the negative results of massive government spending, in a time of crisis, some have tried the Keynesian policy prescription of stimulating demand with government spending. That spending, more than any market factor, has posed the greatest risk to economic dynamism. Relying on government spending in the form of various stimulus packages not only has failed to promote growth and employment, but also has seemed to prolong the crisis by hampering private-sector investment. Bloated government debt has turned the economic slowdown into a fiscal crisis in many countries, with economic stagnation fueling a long-term employment crisis (2011- Index of Economic Freedom).

OBAMA: “We have to make America the best place on Earth to do business. We need to take responsibility for our deficit, and reform our government. That’s how our people will prosper.  That’s how we’ll win the future.”

REBUTTAL:

On 9/30/2008 the debt was $10 trillion

On 12/31/2010 it was $14 trillion

YOU need to take responsibility for  $4 trillion in deficit spending! Man up!

OBAMA: “We know what’s possible for our children when reform isn’t just a top-down mandate, but the work of local teachers and principals; school boards and communities. Over the next ten years, with so many Baby Boomers retiring from our classrooms, we want to prepare 100,000 new teachers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math.”

REBUTTAL:  Education is not in the US Constitution and the Department of Education was not created by the mandated Amendment process.  E.D. spent $60 billion last year and a total of $1 trillion since 1964 … why do we continue to fund an unconstitutional entity?

OBAMA: “One last point about education. Today, there are hundreds of thousands of students excelling in our schools who are not American citizens. Some are the children of undocumented workers … Now, I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration.”

REBUTTAL:  What don’t you understand about the word “illegal”?

“I am prepared to work with Republicans and Democrats to protect our borders, enforce our laws and address the millions of undocumented workers who are now living in the shadows.”

REBUTTAL:  When will you protect our borders? We lost 4,400 soldiers in Iraq over 8 years; Mexico has lost 35,000 in drug wars in the past three. American citizens are being killed and kidnapped. When will you protect our border? Also,  why did the State Department donate $300 million to the HAMAS – a terrorist organization?

OBAMA: “Now, the final step – a critical step – in winning the future is to make sure we aren’t buried under a mountain of debt. We are living with a legacy of deficit-spending that began almost a decade ago

So tonight, I am proposing that starting this year, we freeze annual domestic spending for the next five years. This would reduce the deficit by more than $400 billion over the next decade, and will bring discretionary spending to the lowest share of our economy since Dwight Eisenhower was president.”

REBUTTAL:  $400 billion / 10 tears = $40 billion per year … He then submitted a budget with $1.6 trillion in deficit spending. Such nonsense! That equals trimming 10 days off a year-long deficit spending festival.

OBAMA:  ‘I don’t agree with all bipartisan Fiscal Commission proposals, but they made important progress. And their conclusion is that the only way to tackle our deficit is to cut excessive spending wherever we find it …

This means further reducing health care costs, including programs like Medicare and Medicaid, which are the single biggest contributor to our long-term deficit.”

REBUTTAL:  Over the long run, as the baby boomers retire and health care costs continue to grow, the situation will become far worse. By 2025 revenue will be able to finance only interest payments, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

Since 1964, 58% increase in population, but a 10000% increase in spending wherein

HHS spent over $780 billion last year and 10 trillion since 1964 … clearly unconstitutional.

David Walker, former GAO says the real crisis is $40 trillion in unfunded Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. We are bankrupt!

OBAMA: “We should have no illusions about the work ahead of us. Reforming our schools; changing the way we use energy; reducing our deficit – none of this is easy. All of it will take time. And it will be harder because we will argue about everything. The cost. The details. The letter of every law.”

REBUTTAL:  What don’t you understand about the word “unconstitutional”?

This last comment comes from a speech he gave to promote Obama-Care ->  OBAMA: “If we are able to slow the growth of health-care costs by just one-tenth of 1 percent each year, it will actually reduce the deficit by $4 trillion over the long term.”

REBUTTAL:  If we save one-tenth of 1 percent each year, it would take 2,000 years to reduce the deficit by $4 trillion.!
