Word on the Street: We Need Price Tags! by grassroothawaii

You may have recently seen the news coverage on fiscal notes referencing the research we did on the need for fiscal notes in Hawaii. Don’t just take our word for it though– take a look at this video our new interns Joanne and Janell put together interviewing shoppers at Ala Moana mall the other day.

My favorite quote from the video: “They might get ripped off if there are no price tags”–which is exactly what is happening to us here in Hawaii as our legislators vote on bills with no idea of the fiscal implications. Watch and see what people have to say about price tags a.k.a. fiscal notes!

It is time we–the taxpayers– knew how much a bill would cost us.
