The Honolulu Advertiser of 5/30/10 hosted an article by Nikki Love of Common Cause Hawaii that was simply lovely; “Majority rules, except in elections”. Her proposal, instant runoff voting, is simple but profound. It better reflects voter preferences, saves time and money, encourages parties other than the dominating two, will almost certainly result in better incumbents and will be opposed by both major parties as well as most incumbents.

So, what is not to like about it?

Please look up the article and send your comments here. The Advertiser disappears after June 6th.
